Summary:  Overall rating of 3.8 stars. Gecko Café & Grill is located on the water in the port city of Limon. This is a funky, cool place to kick back and enjoy the Caribbean vibe. We sat outside this time and watched the waves crash against the shore as we grooved to the reggae music pumping through the speakers. “Yeah man, feeling irie…” who knew retirement could be this good… The menu is a fusion of Afro-Costa Rican and Caribbean entrees. They make a special effort to accommodate both vegetarians and vegans. My favorite is the Vegetarian Wrap. If you are not watching your weight, I highly recommend starting out with the appetizer – Papas Gecko. (loaded fries).

This place is a must stop to get you into the Caribbean vibe as you make your way down the coast.
